Robert Joseph Giuggio, age 82, passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at his home in South Walpole, Massachusetts, with his loving daughter by his side. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on April 4, 1939, he was the son of the late John P. and Theresa H. (Gagliard) Giuggio. He was raised in in the West Roxbury area of Boston, where he attended Roslindale High School. While in high school, Robert began his career in the automotive field, working in a local garage on the VFW Parkway. Following his graduation with the Class of 1958, Robert volunteered to serve his country in the National Guard.
Robert married his beloved wife, MaryAnne Courtney, on October 1, 1966 in Saint Theresa's Church in West Roxbury. The young couple made their home together in South Walpole and Robert took a position with Muzi Motors in Needham, working as a mechanic and gas station manager. In more recent years, he worked as a service adviser and customer valet, before his retirement in 2019.
Robert's love for automobiles carried well beyond his career, as he had a true admiration for many cars throughout his life. His own vehicles were meticulously maintained and always had a perfect shine. In addition to cars, Robert enjoyed caring for his yard, ensuring the lawn, bushes, and flower beds were maintained to his standards. As an avid Boston sports fan, Robert loved following the Boston Bruins in their heyday and had a lifelong love for the Red Sox.

Loving father of Jane G. Powers and her husband, Kevin, of Norfolk.
Cherished grandfather of Emma Rose Powers and Robert Joseph Powers.
Brother of Marie T. DiMattia of Norwood and the late John P. Giuggio.
Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Robert's Life Celebration on Monday, December 13, 2021 from 4 to 7 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole.
All are invited to gather in the funeral home on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 9:00 AM prior to Robert's Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated in Saint Jude's Church, 86 Main Street, Norfolk at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Saint Francis Cemetery, Walpole.
