Ronald J. Gulla

October 13, 1954 — December 8, 2020

Ronald J. Gulla, age 66, passed away on Tuesday, December 08, 2020 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, Massachusetts.  Born in Fall River, Massachusetts on October 13, 1954, he was the son of the late Joseph and Frances E. (DiGiandomenico) Gulla.  He was raised in Walpole, Massachusetts, where he graduated from Walpole High School with the Class of 1973.

While in high school, Ronald began working at the Smokey Valley Restaurant on Route 1 in Walpole.  He later took a janitorial position with the Medfield State Hospital.  Following the closure of Medfield, he moved on to the Taunton State Hospital, before retiring from the Worcester State Hospital in the Fall of 2019.

After settling into his home in Plainville, Massachusetts, Ronald enjoyed a quiet lifestyle.  He loved animals and enjoyed watching informative programs about them on television.  As an avid auto racing fan, he looked forward to cheering for his favorite drivers in the big races.

Devoted son of the late Joseph F. and Frances E. (DiGiandomenico) Gulla.
Loving brother of Debra A. O'Neil and her husband, Daniel, of West Bridgewater.
He is also survived by his girlfriend, Karen Chute, of Norwood.

As a result of the ongoing and ever developing health crisis in the world and with genuine concern for the people whom they love, Ronald's family has decided that his funeral services will take place privately, with interment taking place in Saint Francis Cemetery in Walpole.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lifeworks ARC, 789 Clapboardtree Street, Westwood, MA 02090.

Arrangements by James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, Walpole.
