RoseAnn (Iagatta) Centamore

July 9, 1941 — December 26, 2021

RoseAnn (Iagatta) Centamore, age 80, passed away surrounded by family after a hard-fought battle with vascular dementia, on Sunday, December 26, 2021. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on July 9, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Mary Josephine (Santomarco) Iagatta. She was raised in Walpole, Massachusetts, where she graduated from Walpole High School with the Class of 1958. RoseAnn continued her education at Tufts Dental School, earning her dental assistant certificate in 1959. Following her graduation, RoseAnn took a position with the offices of Dr. Pourbaix and Dr. Sahakian in Walpole.

RoseAnn married her beloved husband, Mario R. Centamore, on July 8, 1973, in Blessed Sacrament Church in Walpole. Together, they made their home in Walpole, where RoseAnn raised her family. In the mid-1970s, RoseAnn returned to her education, taking courses at Massachusetts Bay Community College to earn her LPN. With her newly acquired degree in hand, RoseAnn took a position as a visiting nurse, providing respite care to the children in her community. Five years later, RoseAnn’s career path changed, as she took a position with BMW of Norwood, serving as the customer relations manager for ten years.

As a devout Catholic, RoseAnn was a longtime member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Walpole, committing herself to the church and taking part in various church activities. In more recent years, RoseAnn’s faith led her to take a position with Saint Anthony’s Bookstore in Framingham, eventually assuming the position of manager.

Throughout her life, RoseAnn loved to travel, experiencing all the world had to offer. However, Italy was the place she loved to visit most, as she was immensely proud of her Italian heritage.

More than anything, RoseAnn had an unwavering love and deep affection for her family. She loved hosting holiday family get-togethers, especially on Christmas, and was delighted to be surrounded by those she loved.

RoseAnn will be remembered for her wonderful smile and gregarious personality. Words cannot express how many peoples’ lives she touched and those lives she did touch were lucky to have known her.
