Salvatore F. Coppolino

Salvatore F. Coppolino, age 85, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at his home in Walpole, Massachusetts.  Born in Boston, Massachusetts on February 13, 1938, he was the son of the late Philip and Mary (Amendola) Coppolino.  Salvatore was raised in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston and graduated from Boston English High School with the Class of 1955.  Following his graduation, Salvatore began his career with Bank Boston, working in the mail room.

Salvatore married his beloved wife, Carol A. Collins, on September 26, 1964, at Sacred Heart Church in Roslindale.  The young couple initially made their home together in Roslindale before settling in West Roxbury.  After welcoming their daughters, Linda and Nancy, Salvatore and Carol decided to leave the city behind, making their home in Westwood, Massachusetts in 1970.   Salvatore's career continued with Bank Boston, receiving several promotions, and remaining loyal to the company through the various buyouts and name changes.  He retired as a Letter of Credit Officer from Fleet Bank in 2001.   More recently in August of 2022, Salvatore settled into the community of New Pond Village, where he was able to be closer to his family.

Throughout his life, Salvatore was an avid Boston Sports fan, watching his beloved hometown teams whenever he could.  In the off seasons, he enjoyed catching up on old western films and his favorite sitcoms.   Most of all, Salvatore loved spending time with his family, looking forward to holidays and family get-togethers.   He was delighted at the birth of his grandchildren and enjoyed taking an active role in their lives.
