Shirley Elaine Colageo

Shirley Elaine (Pinkham) Colageo, aged 96, formerly of Easton, Sharon and Walpole Mass passed away on January 21, 2021.

She was the wife of the late John S. Colageo. She was born in Wiscassett, Maine on February 21, 1924 to the late Sanford and Emma (Levya) Pinkham and raised in Walpole Massachusetts.

Shirley was introduced to her husband, John S Colageo when they were set up on a blind date by their best friends. They married on November 4, 1950 and resided briefly in Stoughton before moving to Sharon to raise their family.

Shirley is predeceased by her husband of 36 years, John S. Colageo, son, Robert A. Hale, and granddaughter, Courtnie McNeill. Her siblings, Mansfield, Isobel, Wilola, and Weston.

Loving mother of daughter Nancy Colageo and her husband Paul Frank, son Anthony Colageo and his wife Lisa, daughter Marlene Colageo and son John M. Colageo and wife Patty, Granddaughters: Sarah, Christina and her husband, Tyler Houde, Rebecca, Allison, Deanna, Shannon, and Caitlin as well as great grandchildren, Abriana, Layla, Raena, and Oliver.

Shirley enjoyed gardening, bingo, bowling, spending time with her family and her many animals over the years. She always was joyful and loved a good laugh! She believed in Heaven and hoped to be reunited with all her loved ones.

Shirley is fondly remembered as a compassionate, caring loving mother and grandmother who did her best and helped others. All who knew her will miss her dearly.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Shirley’s visitation on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 from 4 to 7 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole.

As a result of the ongoing and ever developing health crisis in the world and with genuine concern for the people whom they love, Shirley's family has decided that her funeral mass will be private, with interment taking place in Rock Ridge Cemetery in Sharon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
