Teresa V. Richards

Teresa V. (Baker) Richards, age 93, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Needham, Massachusetts, after a brief illness. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on May 11, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Julia (Stanton) Baker. She was raised in the Jamaica Plain area of Boston, where she graduated from Mission High School with the Class of 1946. Following her graduation, Terry took a position with Jordan Marsh in Boston.

Terry married her beloved husband, Warren Keith Richards, on September 29, 1951 in Boston. The young couple initially made their home together in Hyde Park, where Terry took on the role of a homemaker, raising and caring for her family. In 1958, Terry and Warren moved to New Jersey, however, in 1963, they returned to Massachusetts, making their home in the small suburban town of Walpole. As her three children grew up, Terry returned to her career, taking a position with Purity Supreme in Walpole, where she worked as a cashier for more than twenty years.

Terry had a deep devotion to her faith, attending Mass regularly at Blessed Sacrament Church or watching Catholic TV when she couldn't attend in person. She was especially devoted to Saint Jude and prayed for her family and friends every morning.

Terry enjoyed a busy social calendar throughout her life and was always delighted to spend time with her friends. She also enjoyed some quiet time, reading the Boston Globe daily, to ensure she was up to date with current events. More than anything, Terry loved being surrounded by her family, who brought her so much joy. She truly had a long happy life and will be remembered for her kindness to all.

Robinson and his fiancé, Caitlin Ryan, of Ogunquit, Maine, Kimberly Burton and her husband, William, of West Hills, California, Keith Richards and his wife, Eva, of Warwick, New York, Julia Richards of Medway, and Kyla Richards of Medway. Great grandmother of Emma Richards and Keith Richards Jr.
Step-grandmother of John Charles Robinson and his wife, Erica, of Lowell, and step great grandmother of Ryan Robinson and Regan Robinson.

Sister of John Baker of Needham, the late Mary Baker, the late Michael Baker. the late Daniel Baker, and the late James Baker.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for Terry's visitation on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 from 9 to 10 AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church, 10 Diamond Street, Walpole on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow in Saint Francis Cemetery in Walpole.

Terry's family requests that masks be worn by all guests during each service.
