Thelma M. Gleason, 88, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2022 at her home in Walpole, Massachusetts surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 23rd, 1933 to John and Annie MacAulay and grew up in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts. She spent some time in Norwood, Massachusetts before settling in Walpole, Massachusetts.

After graduating from Jamaica Plain High School, Thelma enrolled in the business program at Northeastern. She married her beloved husband Joseph H. Gleason on June 10, 1988 at the First Congregation Church in Norwood, Massachusetts. She was an active member of the church and participated in singing with the choir and playing the bells during services.

Thelma had a real love for animals which was abundantly clear as she had many cats and dogs of various breeds throughout her life. Until her retirement, she worked as an insurance broker. It was then that she would volunteer her time at the Auxiliary for Norwood Hospital. She enjoyed staying active by participating in tai chi and yoga.

Devoted daughter to the late John and Annie MacAulay.
Loving wife of the late Joseph H. Gleason.              
Cherished aunt to Thelma Trickler of Marshfield, Massachusetts.
Great aunt to Sarah Trickler and her kids Cayden and Natalie of Marshfield, Massachusetts, Donald Trickler III, Thelma's caretaker for the last 6 years, godmother to David Trickler of Marshfield, Massachusetts.and John Trowbridge, his wife Kate and his children Rita, Brian, Virginia from California.

She will be missed by many other dear friends and extended family.

Graveside services will be on Saturday, June 4th, 2022 at 11 am at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Walpole, Massachusetts.
