Thomas Robert Jerome

February 13, 1934 — December 20, 2022

Thomas Robert Jerome, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at age 88.  Born on February 13, 1934, he was raised in Cohasset, MA, graduated from Cohasset High School and continued his education at Wentworth Institute of Technology, graduating in 1954.

 

Thomas married Florence Anne Scappaticci in 1956 at Saint Mary's Church in Franklin, MA and raised three children in Norwood, MA.

 

Tom began his career as a mechanical engineer and later spent many years as a sales engineer for Parker Hannifin. He loved all things mechanical including woodworking and metalworking. He took much pride in the construction of an elaborate swing set and a playhouse for his grandchildren. In retirement Tom and Florence loved to travel and enjoyed many cruises.

 

Tom was the father of Karen A. Skillins and her husband, Douglas, of Brookline, MA, Donna M. Jerome and her husband, Ian Greitzer, of Medfield, MA, David T. Jerome and his wife, Sylvia, of Rutland, VT and grandfather of Elise Greitzer and Michael Greitzer of Medfield, MA. 

 

Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass for Florence (who passed May 5,2020 during the pandemic lockdown) and Tom at Saint Edward the Confessor Church, 133 Spring Street, Medfield on Friday, January 13, 2023, at 11:30 AM.  Interment will take place privately in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
