Thomas Edward Neault, Sr.

Thomas Edward Neault Sr., age 79, passed away on Tuesday, October 06, 2026, at his home in Walpole, Massachusetts. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on March 1, 1947, he was the son of Robert and Ruth Ann (Maker) Neault.

Growing up in Walpole, Thomas graduated from Walpole High School with the class of 1965, where some of his fondest memories were of his time on the ice rink playing hockey.

After his graduation, Thomas set out into the workforce to become an electrician, taking every opportunity he could find to learn from hands on training and putting his strong work ethic to the test. His career took him to many businesses including Plimpton Press, Prime Computer Inc., Cott Cola, and the Walpole Bottling Company to name a few. His extensive experience with commercial electric work led him to positions at a college campus and even a hospital.

While commercial work was quite familiar to Thomas, he dabbled in some residential work as well, taking the opportunity to work for himself. Throughout his career, Thomas made an impressive impact on the people he worked with and most especially the people he brought into the field to mentor. The folks who learned from Thomas will never forget his dedication, hard work, and steadfast nature.

Thomas' passion for hard work followed him into the home where he always had a project going on. Despite many grand visions and the skills to back them up, many times when one project was started, inspiration would strike elsewhere and he was on to the next new thing. It was not uncommon for walls to be left torn down for some time, waiting on promises of "I'll get to it when I can." An electrician's house is always wired last, and Thomas' home was no exception.

When Thomas wasn't hard at work, he was looking forward to his next fishing trip. This favorite past time came from long hours spent at his Grandparent's pond and his parent's New Hampshire lake house, a place where he also picked up an interest in water skiing and motor boating. Thomas could never have enough lures or poles for his beloved hobby and his car would often turn into extra storage for his supplies, making him always prepared for an impromptu fishing trip. Back home, Thomas could be found catching up on local sports or watching his favorite westerns on T.V., with the old classics being much preferred to anything new.

At the end of the day, Thomas valued family above everything. After becoming a grandfather, he always made sure to make time for his grandchildren, even if it was just to talk. A true mentor at heart, he took great pleasure in instilling as much of his hard-earned wisdom into his grand kids as he could. Occasionally, Thomas would even introduce them to exciting new reading material such as "Welding for Dummies".

Thomas' passion and firm values leave a lasting legacy and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
