Thomas W. Sedgwick was born on January 9, 1939, in Boston, Massachusetts. He was raised in Roslindale and Dedham, Massachusetts, and graduated from Dedham High School. He worked during high school at the Rust Craft Greeting Cards business and also after until he became a plumber's apprentice for work and attended Boston Trade School to become a licensed plumber. This was his life's work until he retired. Tom also served his country as a member of the United States Army National Guard for eight years.
Beloved husband of 60 years to his wife, Rosalind.
Loving father to his sons Alan Sedgwick of Walpole, Jeffrey Sedgwick of Norwood, and his daughter Pamela Richard of Windham, Vermont and her companion Paul Kenny of Twin Mountain, New Hampshire.
He is also survived by his nieces, Karen Dauphinee and Cynthia Lupien, and nephew Douglas (Elaine) Dauphinee and Peter Dauphinee as well as a sister-in-law Christine Lupien.
Thomas and Rosalind have been active members of South Walpole United Methodist Church for many years. Tom was in the Men's Club and Bible Study groups as well as doing many services to help in the church upkeep. He loved fishing, hunting, boat building, and family time playing games.
Donations in memory of Tom may be made to the South Walpole United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 144, South Walpole, MA 02071.
A private memorial service will be held at the Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton, Massachusetts.
