Toni Michelle Toma

Toni Michelle (Culverhouse) Toma, 58, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, November 4th, 2026 at her home in Walpole, MA. Born in Tallahassee, Florida, on May 17th, 1968 she was the daughter of the late James Culverhouse and Vann (Patrick) Culverhouse Jones.

Toni spent her childhood in Florida, earning her high school diploma from Leon High School in 1986. She would marry in 1991 before moving to Needham, Massachusetts in 1994. Eventually, she settled in Norfolk, where she would raise her three sons, Patrick, Jeffrey, and Shane. She was a dedicated stay-at-home mom for most of her life before opening her own daycare, where she continued to embrace her calling as a caretaker.

When not taking care of others, Toni was an avid sports fan, and could always be found supporting the Boston Red Sox or the Florida State Seminoles. She also loved 80s music, and never passed up an opportunity to enjoy the songs she grew up with. Sports in the Toma household also came with the added benefit of Toni’s cooking, with gameday appetizers, hamburgers and hot dogs always available. She was a skilled cook and baker, and her family will always fondly remember taco night, and the long list of delicious, chocolate-filled desserts she loved to make and share.

Toni also loved spending time outdoors. She was an avid beachgoer, as long as she didn’t have to encounter Cape traffic. She also used her green thumb to maintain an impressive flower garden. When indoors, as long as there were no games playing, Toni was fond of true crime novels and mystery thrillers, and always kept up with the latest from James Patterson.

But more than anything else, Toni was dedicated to her family, and would never turn down an opportunity to spend time with the people she loved. Her sons were her greatest achievement and her lifelong joy. Whenever possible, Toni would take trips to Florida to see her entire family, wanting nothing more than to enjoy time together. She will be deeply missed by many.

Loving mother of Patrick Toma and his fiancé Madison of Austin, Texas, Jeffrey Toma of Tampa, Florida, and Shane Toma of Medford, Massachusetts.

Sister of Sandy Fenstermaker and her husband Scott of Tallahassee Florida, and Robert Culverhouse and his wife Siusanne of Tallahassee, Florida.

Cherished aunt of Paul Fenstermaker and wife Lindsey of Tallahassee, Erica Palmere and her husband Dan of Tallahassee, Mindy Nissley and her husband Steven of Marion, Illinois, Jill Nickels and her husband Daniel of Tallahassee, Lizzy Nodae and her husband Hunter of Tallahassee, and Anna Culverhouse of Tallahassee.

Also survived by many loving great-nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Toni's funeral service on Saturday, November 14th at 11:00 AM at the Church of Emmanuel, 106 Central Street, Foxborough, MA.
