Duane (Moore) Manocchio

December 28, 1939 ~ May 16, 2020 (age 80)

Duane (Moore) Manocchio, age 80, passed away peacefully in her Wrentham, Massachusetts home on Saturday, May 16, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Milford, Massachusetts on December 28, 1939, she was the daughter of the late William and Marion W. (Ryan) Moore.  She was raised in Franklin, where she graduated from Franklin High School with the Class of 1957.  Duane continued her education at the University of Massachusetts and later at the Boston School of Dental Nursing.  Following her graduation, Duane took a position in a dentist's office in Boston.
Duane met her husband to be, Ernest A. Manocchio, Jr., through mutual friends.  She waited patiently until he was discharged from the military before they were married on October 12, 1964 in Saint Mary's Church in Franklin.  The couple made their home in Walpole, Massachusetts the following year, where Duane took on the role of a homemaker, raising and caring for her three children, Mark, Melissa, and Mandy.
Duane embraced her husband's Italian heritage, joining the Italian Ladies Club of Norwood and the Italian American Club in Walpole, where she enjoyed spending her afternoon with friends playing bocce.  After settling into her home in Wrentham in 2015, Duane joined other members of her new neighborhood to play poker and attending other social events in the community center.  She looked forward to her Saturday afternoons at 2 PM, when she hosted family and friends for dominoes.  Most of all, Duane loved getting together with her children and grandchildren for dinner.
Beloved wife of the late Ernest A. Manocchio, Jr.
Loving mother of Mark J. Manocchio and his wife, Laura, of Franklin, Melissa A. O'Connor and her husband, Joseph, of Franklin, and Mandy B. Manocchio-Putney and her husband, Bill, of Brookline.
Cherished grandmother of Kyle, Brendan, Sophie, Colin, Brady, Trey, and Kai.
