Obituary

Lynne Arlene (Forster) Killory, age 77, passed away in the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, Massachusetts on April 30, 2020.  Born in Hoboken, New Jersey on April 26, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Thomas W. and Margaret (Lowenberg) Forster.  She was raised in Westwood, Massachusetts and attended Westwood High School, where she was a standout athlete in basketball, field hockey, and Softball. She was also voted Class Clown, a title she accepted proudly. Following her graduation in 1961, Lynne continued her education at Massachusetts Bay Community College, earning her associates degree in 1963.  Upon receiving her degree, Lynne began her career as a Paralegal, taking a position with Hill and Plakias Attorneys in Dedham.

Lynne married her husband, James F. Killory, on April 30, 1966 in Weymouth.  The young couple made their home together in Walpole, Massachusetts; and after welcoming her children, Lynne took on the role of a homemaker, raising and caring for her family.  As her children grew up, Lynne returned to Hill and Plakias, working as a Paralegal.  She retired in 2009, after more than thirty years of dedicated service to the law firm.

When Lynne wasn't hard at work, she enjoyed spending time on the golf course.  She was a longtime member of the Walpole Country Club, holding her membership for 63 years.  In addition to staying physically active, Lynne always ensured her mind stayed sharp.  She was an avid reader, who enjoyed completing both jigsaw and crossword puzzles.  However, most of all, she loved being surrounded by her family and developed a wonderful bond with her family's dog, Spirit.

Beloved wife of James F. Killory.
Loving mother of Daniel N. Killory and his wife, Kathleen, of Walpole, Kathleen E. Calvert and her husband, David, of Ladue, MO, Terri L. O'Brien and her husband, Matthew, of Rockland, and Susan D. Kelley and her husband, Jack, of Norfolk.
Cherished grandmother of Quinnilan Calvert, Piersson Calvert, and Soren Calvert all of Ladue, MO.
Also survived by her family dog, Spirit.

As a result of the ongoing health crisis in the world and our community and with genuine concern for the well-being of all involved, Lynne’s family has decided that her visitation and funeral services will be private.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Walpole Community Food Pantry, P.O. Box 43, Walpole, MA 02081.
