Marjorie R. Brennan, age 96, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at the Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wrentham, Massachusetts. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on August 19, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Angus and Jeanette A. (Dwyer) MacDonnell. She was raised in Boston, graduating from Holy Trinity High School with the Class of 1941. Following her graduation, Marjorie took a position with F.S. Webster in Cambridge, working as a secretary.
Marjorie married her beloved husband, Martin J. Brennan, on September 10, 1948 in Holy Trinity Church in West Roxbury. Together they made their home in West Roxbury, where Marjorie took on the role of a homemaker, raising and caring for her young family. They later made their home in Dedham, where Marjorie was a long time member of Saint Mary's Sodality, before settling in Walpole, Massachusetts in 1969. In her later years, Marjorie and Marty enjoyed spending their winters in their home in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Following Marty's passing in 2003, Marjorie made her home in Norwood, Massachusetts.
Throughout her life, Marjorie loved being in her kitchen baking her favorite desserts for all to share. She also enjoyed following the Boston College Eagles athletic teams. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending their activities and athletic competitions.

Loving mother of Joseph M. Brennan of Key Largo, Florida, Deacon Richard J. Brennan of Foxborough, Audrey M. LaRiviere of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Marjorie A. Walsh of Wrentham, Christine M. Colageo of Walpole, and the late William F. Brennan.
Cherished grandmother of 11 and great grandmother of 7.
Sister of Fredrick J. MacDonnell of Braintree, Barbara C. Lynch of Abington, the late Jean C. Costello, the late Sister Mary Grace OSF, and the late Sister Paula Marie OSF.
As a result of the ongoing and ever-developing health crisis in the world and with genuine concern for the people whom they love, Marjorie's family has decided that her funeral services will be private. A Celebration of Life will be held when we return to calmer and healthier times so that we may gather without boundaries to honor, remember, and celebrate her life. Interment will take place in Saint Joseph's Cemetery in West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452.
