Obituary

Patrick James Harper, age 62, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2020 in his Walpole, Massachusetts home, surrounded by his loving family.  Born in Toronto, Canada on April 18, 1958, he was the son of James and Mary (Myers) Harper.  At the age of two, Patrick immigrated to the United States of America with his family, settling in the Jamaica Plain area of Boston, Massachusetts.  He attended Boston College High School, however at the age of sixteen, Patrick's family moved to Ireland, where his father had purchased a farm in Tralee, County Kerry.  Patrick finished his high school education in Tralee, in addition to helping his family on the farm.

While living in Ireland, Patrick met his wife to be, Mary C. Moriarty.  They were married on August 14, 1976 in Tralee, where they made their home until 1978, when Patrick moved his family to the United States, settling in Walpole, Massachusetts.  After returning to the US, Patrick began working at his father's company, Shamrock Roofing, which he eventually took over.

When Patrick wasn't hard at work, he loved spending time at the ocean, whether on a boat, deep sea fishing; or spending time at his happy place, York Beach in Maine, with his family.  Back at home in Walpole, Patrick enjoyed hosting Bar-B-Ques for his family and friends or relaxing on his front porch with an ice cold beer.
