Obituary

Richard F. Callahan, age 65, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 07, 2021 at his home in Woburn, Massachusetts, surrounded by his loving family.  Born in Woburn on March 16, 1955, he was the son of the late Ronald and Gertrude (Langill) Callahan.  He was raised in Woburn, graduating from Woburn High School with the Class of 1973.

Richard spent 15 years with Telco Systems in Norwood, working as a machinist, before taking a position with the Facilities Maintenance Department of Bentley College, working as a landscaper.

When he wasn't hard at work, Richard would seek out his favorite fishing spots, casting his rod and trying his luck.  As an avid New England sports fan, Richard loved cheering for his hometown teams alongside his fellow members at the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge in North Attleboro.  In addition to watching sports, Richard enjoyed participating, playing in a softball league, and hitting the links for a round or two of golf.

Loving father of Neilie J. Sequeira and her husband, Paul, of Dracut and Kyle E. Callahan of Cumberland.

Best friend of Cindy Croft of Cumberland.

Brother of Roger Callahan of Malden and brother-in law of Susan Callahan of Florida.

Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
